On most days I am a tough old bird...that is until I happen upon something that opens up the flood gates. Reading this today did just that...I cried and cried and cried some more (a therapeutic cry really). This poignant story about love weaves you through the joy of new puppies, the heartbreak of finding out that they aren't "perfect", unconditional love, sorrow, the true pleasures of owning a pet and if you have one ounce of tenderness in your heart this story just may make you shed a tear too - even if you are a tough old bird! This story has been nominated in a 2010 Reader's Choice Award over at Squidoo.
